GSES Training updates after COVID

After the Covid-19 pandemic, GSES India successfully provided training to numerous organizations, both online and in-person. To date, we have conducted technical advantage training programs and have offered customized courses as well. GSES India takes pride in having trained 423 officers, 500 engineers, and 545 participants from ISA member countries. Additionally, we have also enrolled students in our professional advantage courses and technical advantage courses, which can be conveniently accessed online for self-paced learning. 

As a consortium partner of SUPRABHA, GSES India organized a series of training programs for the officers of the North Bihar Power Distribution Co. Ltd., South Bihar Power Distribution Co. Ltd. in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Co. Ltd. in Madhya Pradesh in June 2022 and for TATA Power Western Odisha Distribution Limited in Odisha. Furthermore, we conducted a training program for officers of the State Bank of India at the State Bank Institute of Credit & Risk Management in Gurugram in July 2022. 

GSES India in collaboration with “Encourage Capital” and “Climate Policy Initiative (CPI)”, partnered with KfW and delivered training to various organizations from March 2022 to June 2022 which had participants joining in from different EPC companies. 

GSES India has also worked closely with the International Solar Alliance (ISA) to deliver numerous online training programs for its member countries. These training programs were conducted for bankers in April 2022 and August 2022. Furthermore, another series of training programs was conducted from April 2023 to July 2023 and November 2023 to December 2023. 

Under an ‘Energy Access and Education’ initiative by the Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, GSES India conducted specialized training programs for professionals from the northeast states of India. From October 2022 to November 2022, a series of training programs was delivered to enhance the participants’ existing skills and knowledge.  

GSES India in collaboration with International Information Technology Co. LLC, Muscat, Oman, held comprehensive technical advantage courses from different companies in Oman in July 2022 and August 2023. GSES India organized an in-person training program for the staff of MINUSMA at its headquarters in Bamako, Mali in January 2023. In March 2023, GSES India collaborated with the Alliance for Rural Electrification and CORE Initiative to conduct a training program for the students at Gulu University (GU), Uganda.  

Furthermore, GSES India also provided training for various solar PV companies. In August 2023, a training was organized in Chennai, Tamil Nadu for the engineers from Pioneer Wincon Pvt. Ltd. In August 2023, a training program was conducted in Phalodi, Rajasthan for Hinduja Renewables’ site engineers, site in-charge technicians, and safety officers.

What did the participants like most about the programs?
  • Training materials and the program were designed in such a way that every participant was able to clear their doubts and it will help in developing more curiosity regarding solar PV systems. 
  • This training session was very informative, and I gained valuable knowledge about solar PV systems.   
  • The trainer is a very learned person and delivered very useful ideas of solar PV systems.
