Operation & Maintenance of PV Systems

Overview of the Training

This training focuses on the operation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solar PV systems. Participants will gain practical knowledge of PV plant monitoring, data collection and performance analysis, inspection and testing procedures, preventive and predictive maintenance, fault finding, and root cause analysis. The training will have hands-on-practical sessions on IR thermography, I–V tracing, EL imaging, use of electrical measuring tools, earth resistivity testing, insulation testing, etc. Standard operating procedures (SOP) and checklist will be used and practice in accordance with IEC/IS standards related to PV systems operation and maintenance. The training will cover O&M of grid-connected, off-grid, and mini-grid PV systems.

The training has 7 main topics presented so that trainees learn and practice all aspects of operation &amp maintenance of PV Systems. Topics contain of illustrative reading materials, working examples for study, quizzes and exercises. Various types of quizzes and assessment are provided.
