Grid-connected PV Systems with Battery Storage
Grid-connected PV with battery storage is able to combine the benefits of PV generation, the benefits of battery storage and the benefits of a grid connected system. For designing a grid-connected PV system with battery storage, it is important to understand the requirements of the system owner and the conditions in which the system must operate. The drivers and constraints affect the choice of the configuration, the specified load/s, the size and type of battery storage, the size and type of inverter, the size and type of the controller (if needed), and the size of the PV array. This training manual has been developed to incorporate all of the different design criteria required when undertaking the design of a grid-connected PV system with battery storage.
