Collectively, we have over 80 years of knowledge, skill and experience as consultants, advisors and trainers in the clean energy environment.
The diversity of expertise within our team is sought after by government agencies to assist in the development of renewable energy businesses and projects throughout the developing countries.
Dwipen Boruah: Co-founder and Managing Director, GSES IndiaDwipen is a graduate in mechanical engineering and a post graduate in renewable energy from Oldenburg University, Germany. He has earned more than 28 years of experience in renewable energy planning, project implementation, consultancy and capacity building. He has been working on engineering design, development, implementation, feasibility and techno economic due diligence of large grid connected PV power projects, off grid PV and hybrid system design and optimization, rural electrification through mini/micro grid projects, capacity building strategy, planning for developing solar cities and green campus.
A master trainer for GSES training programs conducted in India and abroad, he has authored and co-authored books and training manuals on solar PV system design installation, maintenance and inspection; more than 70 technical and professional reports; several publications and papers in technical magazines and journals.
He has the experience of working with a number of local, regional, national and multilateral organisations in 12 countries and has proven knowledge of different renewable energy technologies, barriers for deployment, methods and approaches applied in the field of technology roadmaps.

Geoff Stapleton: Founder and Managing Director, GSES Australia; Co-founder and Director of GSES IndiaGeoff graduated from UNSW in 1981 as an electrical engineer with specialisation in solar photovoltaic engineering and has since been involved in the renewable energy industry. He is an expert in the design, engineering, installation and operation of renewable energy systems of varying scale including grid connected PV systems, solar and hybrid systems (including storage technologies), micro-hydro and solar water pumping systems.
Geoff has extensive experience in providing peer review services of the design, installation and performance (energy yield and financial outcomes) for remote area renewable energy power systems in Australia, the Pacific, Africa and Asia. Geoff has been working with multilateral financing institutions, governments, development agencies, private enterprises, and local communities providing training and consultancy services spanning over 30 countries. He has been instrumental in the establishment of training and accreditation programs concerning the renewable energy industry as well as in the development of technical standards, industry guidelines and quality assurance programs.
Geoff has been active with various industry associations since 1991 and was Chairperson of the Clean Energy Council’s Standards, Training and Accreditation committee (STA). He is a member on Standards Australia Renewable E committee, the Advisory Committee for EE-Oz (Electro technology Industry Training Advisory Body). He was also a part-time senior lecturer at the School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering at the UNSW. |

Pranab Kumar Nath, Managing Consultant Pranab has a 25 years of successful career in diverse roles in technical sales and marketing, business development, key Account management, techno commercial operations, profit centre operations, business strategy and execution, strategic alliances and partnerships, market analysis, team building and leadership in solar energy systems and projects. He is highly skilled in P&L management, pricing strategies, competitor & market analysis, negotiation, staffing, vendor relations, management reorganization, new services and product development. Before joining GSES, during his long career, he worked for ACME (IPP), Emmvee & MicroSun (PV Module Manufacturers) and government in the area of small off grid stand alone systems to utility scale solar power plants. He is a graduate in chemical engineering and MBA in marketing from IMT Ghaziabad. |

Ajay Kumar Sahoo: Project ManagerAjay did his graduation in Electrical Engineering (2012) from Biju Patnnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha. Before joining GSES, he was a Project Engineer at ONergy Solar and was responsible for installation and commissioning of medium scale PV projects. His hobbies include cycling and swimming. |

Polakh Gogoi: Project ManagerPolakh is a Diploma Engineer with specialization in Electronics and Telecommunication from Silchar Polytechnic Institute, Assam (2013). He holds specialization in design software tools like AutoCAD, Adobe CS6, Corel Draw etc. He has experience in site assessment and shadow analysis for rooftop PV projects in more than 50 buildings and supervised installation of solar water projects to provide clean water in rural schools. Polakh loves music and an passionate guitar player. |

Zoya R. Usmani: Project ManagerZoya Usmani has graduated in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences (2012). She holds specialization in design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc. She is environmentally conscious, interested in eco-friendly and sustainable living. In her free time, she loves reading philosophy books and listening to classical music. |

Muktaparna Boruah: Senior EngineerMuktaparna is a graduate in Solar and Alternative Energy from Amity University, Noida. Before joining GSES, she worked as an intern at PI Photovoltaic-Institute Berlin AG, Germany where she worked on technical and economic feasibility of BIPV. In June 2016, she received a scholarship for showing consistent academic proficiency to participate in the Sakura Science Plan administered by Japan Science and Technology Agency. She has also done a summer internship at Amorphous Silicon Solar Cell Plant (ASSCP), Gurgaon which is an R&D facility for the development of amorphous silicon thin-film and related photovoltaic technologies.

Rashmi Bhengra: Senior EngineerRashmi has completed her M.Tech in Energy Engineering from Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi. She has previously interned at CSIR-CIMFR, Dhanbad (2016). She has worked on "Catalytic Pyrolysis of Waste Plastic" as part of her B.Tech project. Her area of interests includes renewable energy technologies, focussing more on photovoltaics. Apart from academics, she is an adventurous soul who loves travelling, trekking and exploring new things. |

Ankit Chouhan: Accounts ManagerAnkit has completed his graduation from Acharya Narendra Dev College (University of Delhi) in 2016. After graduation he took a 7-month ‘Accounts with Tally’ training from Escorts Finance Manager, Faridabad. Before joining GSES he also took a one-month GST awareness class. In his free time, he likes to travel to new places. |

Ashutosh Tripathi: Senior Engineer Ashutosh has completed his M. Tech in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power system from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (Bhopal). He has completed a six-month internship from GSES India Sustainable Energy Pvt. Ltd. He has also completed Industrial training at Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (Bhopal) where he learned about Transformer Manufacturing and Testing. He has undergone a short term training of Industrial Automation and MATLAB & Simulink. In his free time, he enjoys playing badminton and traveling to new places and explores new things. |

Sayani Bhattacharjee: Senior Engineer Sayani is pursuing Integrated M.Tech in Energy Engineering from Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi. Earlier, she has interned at Bureau of Energy Efficiency where she worked on “An approach on Energy efficiency and conservation of Sugar industry under PAT SCHEME”, Delhi (2017). She has also undergone training from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works and Damodar Valley Corporation where she learned about the electrical connection in Loco, turbine, heat exchanger and other hydel parts. Apart from education, she loves dancing, travelling and swimming. |

Gulfam Naqvi: Senior Engineer Gulfam is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering and post graduate in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies. He has work experience in rooftop and utility scale PV projects. He has also experience in Resource Assessment for wind power projects. He loves gardening, cooking and reading about different cultures. |

Asif Ali Khan: Engineer Asif is currently pursuing Integrated M.Tech in Energy Engineering from Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi.
