Operation & Maintenance of PV Systems
Overview of the Course
This course covers the operation, maintenance, and inspection of solar PV systems, including PV technologies, system types, safety practices, tools and equipment, preventive maintenance, and performance monitoring. It also includes inspection procedures, electrical and fire safety compliance, and advanced diagnostic testing (I-V tracer, IR thermography, EL testing) to ensure efficient, reliable, and safe system performance.

3. Photovoltaic (PV) technology
4. Safety of personnel & system
5. Tools and equipment’s required for operation, maintenance, inspection and audit of PV systems
6. Preventive maintenance schedule
7. Maintenance procedure and checklists for different PV system equipment and components
8. System performance monitoring and analysis
9. System inspection procedures and checklists
10. Electrical and fire safety compliances
11. Testing procedures using IV-tracer, IR and EL camera (practical)
12. Test procedure for structure fitness, water hardness and coating thickness (practical)
Training Methodology
The course will be delivered in lecture format using PowerPoint, sharing of case examples, design exercises, energy yield estimation exercise, a complete design task. The course will be delivered fact to face at GSES training centre followed by Moodle e-Learning Platform. At the end of each session, there will be an assessment quiz where the participant can apply the knowledge that they have learnt in the session and also interact with the trainer to discuss and clarify any queries they may have.

Certification
This course has been developed in accordance with the Australian Clean Energy Council’s Design Grid-connected Photovoltaic Power Systems Accreditation requirements and students receive a certificate of attainment on successful completion of the course. GSES also connects/recommends its student to relevant industries for placement after successful completion of trainings.
